Data View settings allow each user to customize which operating locations are included in the current 'View' of the
Delivery Management System. This
provides a flexible tool to quickly review delivery operations for one retail location, custom defined regions of locations or all locations.
All application screens including tank monitor status, delivery schedules, maps, routes and reports change to reflect only the data in the
current 'Data View' setting. This provides tools to flexibly manage all aspects of delivery operations centrally, at the retail location
or a mix of both. Switching back and forth between Data View settings is simple and quick allowing the organization to utilize the best
resources to manage and run delivery operations no matter where they are. Creation of multiple Data View options driven by user specific
information is a tool unique to Delivery Management.
Feature At Work:
Delivery Scheduling personnel utilize multiple Data Views to manage scheduling of deliveries and capacity planning across the whole company. A central scheduling and routing specialist can look at schedules, routes, maps and live bobtail location status across the company to assess overall operations then switch Data Views to focus in on one operation, make changes, then back out to the overall view and see the impact of the changes on overall operation. Data Views are an easy to use tool to refine operating efficiency at all levels of the delivery operation.
Operations Management can use Data Views to easily break out operations reports for different parts of their delivery operation for analysis and trending, what if different operational scenarios and have real time status on all aspects of delivery activity through out the company.
The Wholesale Management utilizes a specific Data View displaying the history of seasonal usage patterns and current storage
reserves to aid in purchase decisions and contract negotiation. Setting up a Data View to allow wholesale vendors access to
to monitor storage tank levels eliminates the branch
personnel from having to check storage tank levels and call the wholesaler. This saves office personnel time and improves reporting accuracy
by utilizing the most current inventory data from the storage tanks.
Sales personnel create a Data View of selected commercial accounts to service utilizing information from historical usage patterns and forecasted customer usage up to 180 days in the future in their growth planning.
