Tank Monitor Details Screen

This pop-up window located in the Tank Monitors > Status page provides a quick review of current operating details and status of installed tank monitoring hardware.

Benefit:

A very effective tool for Customer Service personnel and Field Technicians to quickly review the operating status of each tank monitor and to plan any required customer contact, maintenance or installation upgrades. This is a vital tool to reduce the cost and time required to operate and maintain thousands of tank monitors within a customer service area.

Feature At Work:

Intelligent Propane has Tank Monitors and Gateways deployed on routed and will call customers. A customer calls Intelligent Propane customer service rep. (CSR) stating that their Gateway is not displaying data. The CSR can look at the customer's tank monitor details screen within e-Fuel Delivery Management and remotely determine the problem. The CSR notes that the last Gateway call status dot is red. She also notes that the time of the last Gateway call and the last Data Module reading were similar. This indicates to the Intelligent Propane CSR that electric power has been removed from the Gateway and prior to the loss of power the tank monitoring was functioning properly. The CSR requests the customer to check the power connections to the Gateway and in this case the power was disconnected to accommodate Christmas Lights for the Holidays. After the customer plugs the Gateway back in the CSR confirms that the display on the Gateway is responding and is functioning properly.

This demonstrates the power of having an easy to use software tool to remotely diagnose system maintenance issues and resolve them over the phone vs. the cost and time of sending out a field technician to diagnose a problem that cannot be determined remotely.
